Bible Buddy

The Bible Buddy journal is designed to ease you into bible study. In 2023, I decided to approach my Bible studies with greater dedication. However, I encountered difficulty in discovering suitable journals to accompany my study sessions. That's when I decided to create the the Bible Buddy journal.

The SOAP bible study method

The SOAP method is a structured approach to enhance your Bible study experience. To effectively use this journal, you can follow these steps.

1. Scripture (S):Select a passage or verse from the Bible that you want to delve into, and write down the chosen scripture in the scripture section of your journal.
2. Observation (O):Reflect on the Scripture you've chosen, and record any observations, insights, or key themes that stand out to you.
3. Application (A):Consider how the Scripture applies to your life. Write down practical ways you can incorporate the lessons or principles into your daily living.
4. Prayer (P):Use this section to communicate with God. Write a prayer based on the Scripture, expressing gratitude, seeking guidance, or asking for strength.

Journaling Tips:

• Consistency is key: Aim to use the journal regularly to establish a consistent habit of Bible study.
• Reflect on growth: Periodically review your entries to track your spiritual journey and personal growth.
• Personalise your entries: Feel free to add personal stories, struggles, or wins that relate to your study.

Additional Suggestions:

• Set a Schedule: Allocate a specific time each day or week for your Bible study using the SOAP method.
• Use Additional Resources: Supplement your journaling with commentaries, devotionals, or other study aids to deepen your understanding.

How to use

1. Download the template.
2. Import the pdf file into an editor like Goodnotes, Notability, Journal by Apple, etc.
3. Duplicate the entry pages as you use.
